Eric David Darnell

1974 - 2022

We are heartbroken to announce that on November 21st we lost one of the good guys. Eric David Darnell (47), of San Antonio Texas passed away unexpectedly due to complications from a routine surgery. We can all find solace in knowing Eric has reunited with his mother. What a joyous reunion it must have been.
Eric was born in Agana Guam on December 1st 1974. Shortly thereafter his family moved to Texas and Eric continued his life there embracing & exuding everything Texan. Eric's' love for the outdoors, hunting, sitting around a fire, Texas country music, trips to the coast, and the Dallas Cowboys were only surpassed by the love he had for his friends and family. Eric is preceded in death by his mother Debbie Swaim. Eric is survived by his dad (Bill Swaim), his brother and sister in law (Brian and Shannon Darnell), his children (Paislie & Brooks), countless other family members, and a black felt Stetson cowboy hat.
Eric has left many meaningful memories for those that knew and loved him that will last their lifetimes. We ask his friends and family to continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
No formal funeral service is being planned, instead he will be honored (and potentially roasted) with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
