George Wallace Obituary

WALLACE
George J. Wallace, age 82, from Lakehills, Tx, passed away on Febraury 9, 2012. George was a loving husband, father and grandfather. While he was most passionate about his family, he enjoyed fishing, sports and travel. George was an Air Force Retired Master Sargent, member of Texas Masonic Lodge #8, the Shrine Club and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander Stewart Wallace and Lyda J. Woodward of Sandusky, Ohio, and two brothers of Louisiana. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan, of 61 years; his children, Alexander S. Wallace III and wife Suzy of Rockport, George J. Wallace II of Florida, Daniel E. Wallace and wife Allie of New Braunfels, Joanie L. Reed and husband Ken of Pipe Creek, eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2 pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera, Tx. I'm very sorry to hear of George's passing and offer my condolences to the family. While assigned to Lackland AFB from 1990 to 1995 I knew George very well from our shared membership at Texas Lodge #8. George was always very kind to me and my little family - Chad Walker, Kingsville TX
