Lydia Villarreal Obituary
Lydia Solis Villarreal was called home by the Lord on May 28, 2018, at the age of 91. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on November 25, 2018.
Of historical significance, Lydia was a part of the Kelly Katies at Kelly Air Force Base between 1945-1946. This organization repaired and supplied the nation's aerial fighting force during World War II. Lydia took great pride in this part of her history.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Villarreal.
Lydia is loved and will be missed by her children, Dilva Elizondo (Robert), Anita Bencomo (Raymond), Robert Quintanilla (Maria) and Edelma (George); 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Family and Friends will meet at St. James Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, for a Funeral Mass.
The family is grateful to River City Hospice for the compassionate care they provided Lydia. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Leukemia Society in Lydia's memory. Services under the direction of Castillo Mission Funeral Home.
