He was born on March 9, 1932, in Bronxville, New York to loving parents, Ernest and Mable Siggins. Chuck graduated from Loomis Institute and attended Amherst until he enrolled in the Navy in 1951, serving as a flight radio operator during the Korean War. Chuck tended bar to support his family while attending Stanford, graduating in 1957. He joined IBM in San Francisco quickly rising in the ranks, and ultimately landed in Phoenix in 1968 as Branch Manager. He left IBM in 1971 to run failing tile and flooring companies which he turned around to great success, selling to Shaw Industries in 1997. He was an active member of Rotary for many years mentoring others to succeed.Chuck was proud of and devoted to his children: Scott (Sandi), Nan (Joel), Peter, and Kevin (Teri); his five grandchildren; and his two great-grandsons.Chuck worked and played hard, living life large and to its fullest. He loved throwing parties, good food, his many friends at Arizona Country Club, playing golf and excelling at bridge. He traveled the world with his family and friends. He had an irreverent sense of humor and loved practical jokes. (Once he ordered a mule from the want ads as a gift to be delivered to his neighbor's surprise birthday party.)Chuck spent his last year in Phoenix and Solana Beach where he enjoyed beachfront living and happy hours with his family, waiting for the ever-elusive green flash. His presence graced this earth, and he lives forever in our hearts remembered for his boundless generosity, humor, love, kindness and sweet spirit. Chuck, you are a treasure.'

Condolences to the Siggins family. Although I only met Chuck briefly, I knew of him from his daughter, Nan, who's fondness for him is limitless. His remarkable spirit shines through in this account of his life and the love his family showed for him. My thoughts are with Nan and the entire Siggins family at this sad time.
