DJ, Lou Ann and family,
Your Mom was so amazing and the most loving Christian! Even at the end of her days on earth, she loved to recite the Lord's Prayer.
So comforting knowing that we will all see her again in Heaven (hopefully!)

Gone, but never forgotten! What a loving, kind, dear lady. Big smiles when I picture her hugging those Palisade Preschoolers! Miss you, Eva.

The world was a far better place with Evadale in it!

Just remembered Evadale telling me that while she was a young lady in Iowa, a very handsome sports announcer asked her out for a date. She refused because she thought that he was too old for her....
Yes, it was future President of the U.S., Ronald Reagan! He had some good taste!

We will always remember her enjoyment in singing with the group.
We had some wonderful RV trips to the Klamath River for the men to fish for salmon. We gals picked blackberries and made jam and delicous cobblers. Any salmon that wasn't consumed at the group dinners were canned for great treats back in San Diego.

My husband Bill and I first met Evadale through Lou Ann when she was our son's sixth-grade teacher. Over the years we have had the pleasure of seeing Evadale on several occasions. She was a lovely, warm lady who will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to all of you.

Dear D.J. & Lou Ann:
I always enjoyed visiting with you Mom at ActivCare, La Mesa while Bob was a resident. She had so much spirit and the sound of music would bring a smile and song. I know you will miss her. Thinking of you in this time of sorrow. Sue Redding

Dear DJ, Lou Ann and family,
The world has lost a LOVELY, LOVELY LADY! It was our great pleasure to have met your mom while she was working as a brilliant preschool teacher. I used to love to watch her bring out the best in both the young children AND their parents. She was a true pro and ALWAYS shared her love with so many. Yes, above all a very loving mom, wife and grandmother.
Our love and great sympathy,
Donna and Phil Scott
P.S. AND OUR FAMILY STILL ENJOYS HER CRANBERRY SALAD RECIPE EACH HOLIDAY SEASON!

I have many fond memories of both Evadale and Wayne from the days at East San Diego Presbyterian Church. They were both loving and warm people who never failed to encourage, support and lift up a confused teenager. I look forward to seeing them both in God's heavenly kingdom.
