With deep sadness, we report that Jerry H. Klein passed away at age 79 on December 23, 2020. Jerry's memorial guestbook is available for personal responses on the website for El Camino Memorial Encinitas. An attentive husband, family man, and respected merchant, Jerry Klein is survived by his wife and devoted business partner, Janet L. Klein of La Jolla; four siblings survive him, Thomas Klein, Kathleen Marinelli, Nancy Klein, and Mary Halmay; three daughters mourning Jerry's passing are Laura Zeller, Michelle Klein, and Carrie Klein, all of San Diego County; seven grandchildren will remember Grandpa's loving attention. Jerry was blessed with his first great-granddaughter which he never had a chance to hold. She, too, would have embraced his company. Multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews had close relationships with Jerry, now lost. Business associates will miss the socially gregarious Jerry, whom they affectionately identified as "The Mayor of Bird Rock," where Jerry and Janet maintained a business for 22 years.
