John K. "Jack" Wilson

1922 - 2015

John K. "Jack" Wilson ALPINE/SAN DIEGO -- Jack Wilson passed away peacefully on July 17, 2015. Jack was born on Nov. 20, 1922 in Spirit River, Alta. Canada to Gordon and Mava Wilson. He grew up in Alpine, CA. He graduated from Grossmont High School. He attended SDSU where majored in business. He was a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. Jack spent a good deal of his time working with his father in the Alpine Store. He took over the store in 1953. He loved horses and was an avid rider. He enlisted in the Army in 1943 and later served in the Air Force when called back to duty. He is survived by his loving wife Mimi of 64 years. Survivors include son Kirk (Donna) and daughter Karen (Carson) and grandchildren Neal, Claire and Christopher and sisters Jean and Gail and brother Stan. He will be laid to rest August 4, 2015, 9:30 a.m. at Miramar National Cemetery. Family and friends will gather in remembrance at Mimi's home immediately following the service.
