ROBERT WILLARD TRUPP

TRUPP, ROBERT WILLARD June 6, 1923 to August 8, 2011 On August 8, Robert "Bob" passed away peacefully at home from his battle with cancer. Bob was born in Hastings, Nebraska, the youngest of eight children. Bob graduated from Crete High School where he enjoyed playing basketball. In 1941, Bob moved to San Diego and went to work for Rohr Aircraft and joined Rohr's basketball team. At Rohr, he met May Miller. They were married on June 8, 1944. May passed away on December 9, 2010 after 66 years of marriage. Bob enjoyed fishing and camping. After retiring from Rohr, he and May began spending their summer months in the Mammoth Lakes and June Lake area. He always enjoyed helping family, friends and anyone in need. On November 5, 1993 Bob was honored to receive the Channel 10 Leadership award. Survived by his children: son Michael and wife Lynda Trupp; daughter Janet and husband James Wright; and son Gregory Trupp; grandchildren, Coleen and husband Daryld Kratzer, Christopher Trupp, Tanya and husband Eric Clifton; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua, Shane, Kevin, Tessa and Marley. Private services will be planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Sharp Hospice.
