Ruth Sharon Wiese

Ruth Wiese Ruth Sharon Wiese, 88, was born in 1928 in Arvada, Colorado and passed October 2, 2016, in Templeton, California, surrounded by family. Upon completion of high school in Colorado, she attended Pasadena College in California. There she met, and eventually married, her husband, H. Clarence Wiese. While raising two boys, Ruth got her Masters Degree and teaching credential from Pasadena College. Ruth taught at Sparks Jr. High School in La Puente, California, was a professor of Home Economics at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California, and was Director of College Avenue Preschool in Whittier, California until her retirement. Ruth and Clarence moved to Templeton, California in 1998. Throughout life, Ruth was active in whatever local church she attended, and she was the President of Anaheim District Nazarene Missions International for many years. She made several short-term mission trips abroad. Most recently, she was a Church Board Member and Local Missions President at Dove Creek Church of the Nazarene in Atascadero, California. Ruth is survived by her sons, Harry and Kris, and daughters-in-law, Deborah and Lisa; by her grandchildren, Renee, Alicia, Gregory, David, Amy, Kenneth, Catalin and Samuel; and by her brother, Ben, and sister, Martha. A public Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00pm, Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Dove Creek Church, 9333 Santa Barbara Rd., Atascadero, California, 93422. All are welcome.
