Stanley Benskin Obituary
A celebration of his life will be held for friends and family.
Stan was born July 4, 1920, in Riverside and attended Riverside schools.
Stan served in the military during World War II, taking part in the invasion of North Africa, where he was awarded the Silver Star, and serving in Italy and Sicily.
Stan lived in Morro Bay for 27 years and San Luis Obispo for the past six months.
Stan also thoroughly enjoyed his friendship with the Benskin Golf Group.
Stan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances "Susie" Benskin, daughter, Deborah Benskin, of South Pasadena; son, Jeffrey, and his wife, Francesca, of Cambridge, Mass.; grandsons, Alex and Malcolm Benskin, of Bellingham, Wash.; and sister, Yvonne Putman, of Oceano.
Donations may be made to the Morro Bay Friends of the Library.
