Santa Fe- Dad - It's been a year since you've been gone. Nothing could have prepared me for your loss. You have always been my best friend. My first memory is of your kind and gentle spirit. I knew you needed to go, and I thought I was prepared because you fought so hard for so long, but my heart is so broken. I cannot even express the devastation of your loss. I am so grateful that God chose you to be my daddy. I know that you are in paradise, and I can't even match that. You get to see Jesus' beautiful face. You deserve the peace, love, and joy the Lord is beaming upon you. We have so much to catch up on. I am sad you won't be here for my big events this year. But you will be with me in spirit. When I am down or feel like I can't, I feel your spirit, and I remember that I am "La hija de Nicolas." I am your girl. I feel your spirit in me. I miss you more than words can express. Until I see your beautiful face again and you meet me at Heaven's gate.
