Ruth M. Mix, 94 of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling.
She was born November 8, 1929 in Rock Falls, the daughter of Albert Lench and Ruby M. (Brindle) Lench. She married Carl Mix in 1948, he died August 2, 2008. They were married 60 years. She was employed by Lawrence Brothers for 50 + years. Ruth was a member of Rock River Christian Center and enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher there.
Survivors include her two children, Carol (Kenneth) Hemminger of Rock Falls and Wayne Mix of Texas; one brother, Lowell Lench of Tampico; three grandchildren, Russell, Samantha, and Johnathan; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Merle, Donald, Lenord, and Marion Lench and three sisters, Gladys Rimmer, Doris Southard, and JoAnne Lench.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Vickers officiating. Burial will conclude at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls.

We went to the same church.Also I worked with her at Lawrence Brothers.She was my boss. I started working for her and she said you will need some steel toes shoes. I justed started working.She came to me and handed me the money to purchase my boots.I worked one year with her .Then moved to Texas.We keep in touch with each other for many years. She was my guardian angel.I thank God for the friendship we had.She will be missed. Your all in my prayers Judy Weed Henderson.
