Bede S. Hereford

Bede S. Hereford, 75, of Haymarket, died March 26, 2005 at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Born June 8, 1929, in Fauquier County, he was the son of Bede and Vallie Hereford. On Aug. 13, 1956 in Manassas, he married Martha Sloan Hereford, who preceded him in death on Sept. 21, 2004. Mr. Hereford was a manager for the Virginia Department of Transportation for over 41 years. Besides his loving wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Hiers. He is survived by two children, James Hereford and Cathy Hereford, both of Dale City; one brother, Lauren Hereford of Arlington; five sisters, Dorothy Michael of Churchville, Lois Hereford of Manassas, Fredonia Nolte of Michigan, Katherine Spencer of Manassas, and Betty Kerr of Alexandria. The family received friends on Monday, March 28, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Baker Funeral Home, 9320 West St., Manassas. Friends will also be received today, March 29, 2005 from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Aubrey Sanders will officiate.
