Remembering Fred at Windsor Forest High School; at UGA - a big ol' lovable, goofy friend whose heart streamed pure & deep from his desert-like sense of humor. Fred, you were always a better man than me - more than that, you were better than the sum total of ALL who claimed to know you in this life. May God's grace bless your loving family, now awash with sorrow & loss, by giving them hope, strength, and peace in their times of need. As for the rest of us, who've only sipped of the spring-head of your friendship over the years, may He quench our thirst for you in the glistening waters of the memories we share of a "good and faithful servant..." Well done, Fred!

Fred was a pleasure to work with and for. He always had time to explain how and why we did things. On the rare occasions that I had to bring my kids to work in order to take them to the pediatrician, he would spend time with them, showing them "magic" tricks with coins or paper clips. If I had ever had a personal problem, he always had time for me. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Fred. He was a very fine man. I offer my sincere condolances to Becky, Hannah and Frederick. May the memories of the happier times bring you comfort during these sad times.

I met Fred my first month at the University of Georgia in 1970. We also attended law school together. He was, hands down, one of the finest men I have ever known. I look forward to attending his memorial service.

am so sorry to hear of the passing of Fred. He touched so many lives in such a positive way. He was one of the most interesting and intelligent persons I have had the honor to know and work with. Heaven just got a little more interesting. May God bless and keep his family wrapped in his love.
