I can't believe he is gone. We talked several times that week and he was just as energetic and silly as always. He called me just last Friday to wish me a safe trip to Nevada and to tell me he still hadn't seen any deer. I feel so terrible about not being able to make it home for his funeral. He was my best friend at work, though whenever he was around, it was so much fun that you really couldn't call it work. He was always there when you needed him (or just a laugh) and I will never forget him!

Dear Janet, I was so saddened when I found out. Mack will always be remembered as an inspiration,and I will think of him every time I go to the turkey woods because he taught me so much. I will miss him dearly. My love and prayers are with you and the rest of the family.

Janet, We are so sorry for your loss. Well, a loss for many friends. Mack will always be the great hunter that has inspired many. I learned allot from him and will miss him dearly. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Janet you probably dont remember me, but Mac and I have been friends since jr high. I got to see him again last year after 35 years it was refreshing.My thoughts are with you he will be missed.

We are so sorry to hear about Mack. I worked at the Corps for many years with him and he was a true friend in every sense of the word. He always had a smile on his face and a good word to say about everyone. It is our prayer that God will give you peace and strength to get through this time. We serve and awesome God and He will see you through.

Jan, We are so sorry to hear about Mack. Im sorry that we were not able to be there for you like you & Mack were for us when we lost Mama & Grandaddy. Not a day will go by without all of us missing Macks stories and jokes, he always brought a smile to everyones face in our family. My second family, I love each and every one of you Mixon/Moody/Laniers...my heart weighs heavy by Mack's sudden passing..I hope that all the memories we all share will comfort all of you in the sad days to come. I have always loved hearing stories of my mom, dad, Mack, Janet, Ricky, Debi and the rest of their crew growing up together...and yet here we are still a part of each others lives....we are really lucky for that! Jan, I am so shocked and saddened by Mac's death! I will always remember him and his booming voice whenever he yelled from the backyard to Momma or knocked on her side door. He was always smiling and laughing and telling jokes. You both were such great neighbors for Momma and Daddy. Jan and Lindsay, I'm so sorry for your loss. I feel like Mack was more than just my Grandmama's neighbor, but like part of the family. As far back as I can remember, he was always out in the back yard with stories and jokes to tell us. His familiar face will be sorely missed.
