Dear Griffin Family,

Joe Griffin was a loyal, caring friend for more years than I can remember. He had an such a wonderful relationship with my father and I will always remember their lively conversations for their informational and entertainment value! He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.

We always loved Joe and Patty - they were dear friends of my step father, Robert Owen, they took good care of him. I remember all of the good things Patty made for him to eat - like custard and cakes, then Joe would deliver them. I know he had a good life and he's now visiting Patty and lots of other friends and family in a better place.

His gray sedan. As long as I can remember, he drove that big gray sedan. I would pick his brain for information about his Benedictine class of "39". He was always willing to share a moment or two with a gentle smile as he reminisced
about those days long ago. My father
was a classmate,thus the interest.

He was a member of "The Greatest
Generation", and if I'm correct, the
sole survivor of the BC class of 39.
I would hope there is a reunion today, as they are all together once more. May he and the entire class, rest in peace.
