I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of my former Temple Law School classmate, roommate and friend, Martin. From the challenges of Temple Law School, I know of Martin's enormous faith in the Lord, and I know that same faith was with him on November 21st. I am sorry that I will be unable to be with you today, but my thoughts and prayers are with the member of the Polite family and his special friend, Dr. Karen Meeks.

To The Polite Family and Friends,
I am both shocked and saddened to hear of Martin's passing. I had the pleasure to meet and come to know Martin while at Talladega College. He was a wonderful friend and colleague and I will always remember his great gifts of knowledge, sense of humor and spirituality. May God keep and bless all of you during this time and know that I will always remember Martin.
