Edward A. Turner Jr., 84, of Wood Lane, Pine Grove, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023, at home.
Born July 18, 1938, in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Edward Sr. and Ruth Dissinger Turner.
Edward was a carpenter and painter and did work for many people and businesses in the Pine Grove area.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed his dog, Oscar, and spending time with his family
Preceding him in death were his first wife, Nancy A. Turner; a son, Todd Turner; two brothers, James Leisey and Robert L. Turner; and a sister, Jeanette Reiner.
Surviving are his wife of 10 years, Betty Schultz Turner; four sons, Dwayne Turner, Jason Turner and Barry Seiders, all of Schuylkill Haven, and Edward Turner III, of Tremont; three daughters, Allison Turner, of Harrisburg, Michele Turner, of Mechanicsburg, and Brenda Turner, of Kentucky; 15 grandchildren, Tayler and Tyler Routledge, Bryce Ulrich, Ashley and Emily Greeninger, Nathan, Rhiana, Jamyn, Ava, Brayden, Isabel, Kylie, Rylan and Haizlee Turner and Miah Doud; many great-grandchildren, including Liam Routledge; his dachshund, Oscar; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, July 21, at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Jacob's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
