Eleanor Reinoehl Obituary

Eleanor M. Reinoehl, 92, of Providence Place, Pine Grove, formerly of Hegins, passed away Saturday at Providence Place.

She was born Friday, Jan. 30, 1925, in Barry Township, a daughter of the late Arthur and Laura Kessler Geist.

She was a graduate of the former Hegins Township High School.

Eleanor was a member of the Church of God, Valley View.

Her husband, Mahlon F. "Bud" Reinoehl, passed away in 1991.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, Walter Geist and Clyde Geist.

She is survived by a son, Frank A Reinoehl and his wife, Sally, Valley View; a daughter, Cathy A. Bretz and her husband, Melvin, Hegins; two granddaughters, Tonya J. Sherry, Hegins, and Lindsay A. Bartleson, York; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Marvin Geist, Hegins, Arnold Geist, Hegins, and Ronald Geist, Hummelstown; a sister, Lorraine Schwalm, Harrisburg; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of God, Valley View, with the Rev. Gerald Frey officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be made in Church of God Cemetery, Weishample, Hegins. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hegins Area Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 678, Valley View, PA 17983. Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences can be left for the family at www.buffingtonreed.com.

Cathy & family: I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I only met her a few times and she was a very sweet lady. I know she is with my mom and dad in heaven (Charlie and Martha Blackwell). May God bless you and your family in your time of sorrow.
