Jean Ann Dellock, 83, of Frackville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at her home.
Born July 21, 1939, she was a daughter of the late John and Louise (Seitzinger) Davis.
She was a 1957 graduate of Pottsville High School.
She and her husband owned Dellock's TV, Frackville.
Jean had a love for history and genealogy. She was currently a researcher, in addition to being a former board member and secretary of Schuylkill County Historical Society; founder of Frackville Historical Society; member of their former Lions Club, Frackville; member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Dellock, in 2002; sister, Patricia Olexy; and brother, John Davis.
Surviving are four sons, Paul Dellock and his wife, Susan, of Frackville, Thomas Dellock, of Frackville, Stephen Dellock and his wife, Susan, of Pottsville, and Michael Dellock and his companion, Renee, of Lake Wynonah; two grandsons, James Dellock and his wife, Devin, of Frackville, and Jeremy Dellock, of Pottsville; great-grandchildren, Maddison, Caleb, Scarlett Dellock and Maverick Buccieri.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Nice-Hart Funeral Home Inc., 9 N. Lehigh Ave., Frackville. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Schuylkill County Historical Society, 305 N. Centre St., Pottsville, PA 17901. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Frackville. The Schuylkill County Historical Society offers its condolences to the family of Jean Dellock. The Society has lost a great member, volunteer, historian and friend. Jean was the premier genealogist at the Society who helped many people piece together family puzzles for many years.
While she will be missed, the records she developed and left behind at the SCHS libary will continue to assist people into the future. Her research and records will honor her legacy.
