Dear Kim, Kelly, JP and Family's
We were so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. She was one of a kind and Kind she was to everyone, always smiling, telling her little dry humored jokes and that little twinkle in her eyes. So many wonderful memories for so many of us from the hospital and later when we all retired. I know she had her Angel Wings here on, earth so I know she zipped right up to her greatest home of all with GOD.
With love and sympathy to you all

My deepest sympathy to Peggy's family. I saw her at the doctor's office the end of March. I was shocked and saddened to learn she passed away. She was a ray of sunshine. May she rest in peace.

Dear Kim, J.P and Kelly and families,
I am so heartbroken to hear of Peggy's passing. Your Mom was truly a special lady...she had a natural ability to make someone feel better or brighten your day. I'm so glad I got to know her at the hospital and remained friends with her after that. She was so sweet and funny...my biggest regret is to not having seen her in the last couple of years. She has left this world with a beautiful legacy of her children and grandchildren..I loved your Mom and will miss her terribly.
My sincerest condolences,
Kay Waskas

I knew Peggy from when we both went to Nativity. I haven't seen her in years because I joined the Navy and then moved away from the area. I remember when I used to see her in Mickey's and she would be just all smiles, kind and never condescending to anyone. I also knew her father who was also a great guy. As a kid we would pass his place of business and it was: "Hey Mr. Whitaker, how are you.? I am sure not having seen Peggy in years that she brought a lot of joy into peoples lives, and am terribly sorry for your loss. I lost my wife to Cancer in 2018 so I understand and I can relate to your grief. This too will pass, just embrace it and know you carry her legacy in your hearts.

My lasting memory of Peggy is around 1980. Following a traffic accident and and examination for rib injury, this very young and tiny person came into the X-Ray lab at Pottsville Hospital to lead me out to my car. After she identified herself as Peggy Whittaker my comment was " My God, Peg, you are still 16 years old.
