Scott A. Kalla died Saturday Dec. 14 at The University of Minnesota Hospital due to unexpected heart complications.
Scott was born Oct. 11, 1975 in St. Cloud, MN, to Al and Margie Kalla.
Scott graduated from Apollo High School in 1994. He married Andrea (Annie) Ballweber on Sept. 12, 2007. They lived in Elk River, MN. Scott worked as a Logistics Engineer at Kehe Distributors.
Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching his favorite hockey team, the Minnesota Wild. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Scott will be remembered for his easy going personality, witty sense of humor, and a genuine love for his family.
Scott will be greatly missed by his loving wife Annie, son Spencer, and dog Ruby.
Scott is survived by his wife Andrea and son Spencer; parents Al and Marge Kalla; sister Tammy (Joel) Heinen, brother Brian (Mary) Kalla; parents-in-law Ed and Sue Ballweber; sisters-in-law Darcy (Dan) Ballweber and Katie Golembski; many nieces and nephews, and one great grandnephew.
Services will be held at Dare's Funeral and Cremation Services in Elk River, MN. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 20 from 11am-1pm with memorial service beginning at 1pm. A meal will follow the service.

My sympathy and prayers to the entire Kalla family. I grew up with Scott in St. Joe and I still remember the story that my mom Betty told me of the day Scott and I were born at the St Cloud Hospital on October 11, 1975. God Bless you all and know you are thought of during this difficult time.

I am a receiver at one of Scott's stops in Fargo. I am sorry for your loss. I will miss seeing him every week. He was always in a good mood and was great at giving and taking crap.
