Born in Oslo, Norway on June 21, 1929 to Fredrik Berg Grimnes and Eivor Emilie Rydgren-Grimnes. She passed away peacefully on June 30, 2016. Aase was the wife of Christian Fredrik Kongsre and mother to Bente Kongsore and Christian Petter Kongsore.

Aase married her husband of 62 years on February 19th, 1954. Aase and Christian emigrated from Norway to the United States in 1957 where they would spend the balance of their adult life (with the exception of 2 attempts to move home for~ 4 years). In 1982 Aase and Christian settled in Bellevue, Washington where Aase proudly became an American citizen and felt at home. Aase was known for knitting beautiful Norwegian sweaters for family and friends. She was a skilled cook and loved making cookies and was famous for her "blt-kake," a favorite for birthdays and special occasions.

In March of 2016 Aase and Christian moved to Eugene, Oregon for care and to be closer to family. Aase is survived by her husband Christian Fredrick, her daughter Bente (married to Bob Pasko) and their children Jim and Janet Pasko, her son Christian Petter (married to Paula) and their children Rachel, Angela, Emilie, Lindsie and Kari.
