Catherine Anna MONTAGUE Age 79. Born February 14, 1923 in Grundy County, Iowa, passed away September 20, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. Catherine grew up on a farm in Iowa and at 21 years old, Catherine joined the Navy and became a pharmacist's mate. She met her husband George in Chicago and they were wed June 21, 1946. They eventually moved to Washington in 1954 with their small children. Here they made their home and met a great many friends in the Edmonds area. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, George Montague. She is survived also by her daughter Nancy Sparks and sons Timothy and Thomas Montague. She is the grandmother of Rachael Hentschell, Ashley Montague, Daniel English and Jacob English. She is also survived by her 9 moth old twin granddaughters Melody and Harmony Hentschell. Her sisters Mary Stokes and Alice Rhodes and brother Thomas Deitrick and daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Montague and Stan Sparks also share in the loss. Catherine requested no formal memorial service. She asked for a close family get together in her honor and enjoy the memories of the wonderful times they shared.
