Today, I reflected back, as I have many times over the years, of our dearest Ms. Edi. This special lady still and will forever, remain in my heart. Miss you Ms. Edi. Your VA Voluntary Service has not been the same for me, without you. Always, with Love, Linda

Edi was a joy and I only found out today at the VA Volunteer luncheon that she had passed. I adored her and we talked often as I worked in the Social Work department. I will miss her dearly, she was truly a lady of class, wit, and character. Victoria Cohen

Lisa, Lynn, Blackie, and extended family,
My brothers and I were so very saddened at the loss of Edi, your mom and our second mom. Our memories of Edi (And all the Olunds') are many and so very fond. When our mom passed Edi "Looked after us" with phone calls, thoughts, and I'm sure at times a lot of prayers!
One memory that really stands out for me personally and one that I think is most telling of the role your mom played in my life was when I got married. It was decided that we would have a wedding at St. Joseph's church but only have immediate family to be followed by a wedding party for extended family and friends a few weeks later. Immediate family meant my wife-to-be, her mom and dad, and her 12 brothers and sisters. And me and my mom and dad and two brothers. That was it. On the day of the wedding I walked in to that vast church building on Capital Hill and as I walked down the aisle I saw to my right the 14 members of my wife-to-be's family and to my left, the four Bouton family members. And oh yes, Edi Olund! I'll never forget what Edi told me after the ceremony, "Dale, I'm a catholic in good standing, I can go in to any church I want at any time, and if I want to see Dale get married I'm going to see Dale get married! And that she did. And that was Edi. And I was so glad she was there.
I will miss her dearly. Her spirit, our discussions about the Husky football program, her beloved Mariners, life in general, memories of my mom and dad and the the fun times she and Don had with them, getting updates on her kids and grand kids, and selfishly just knowing that even though my mom and dad were gone, our second mom was still there, on duty as always with love, kindness, and genuine care in her heart.
I wish you all love, light, and piece of mind & heart at this time.
Fondly,
Dale

Dear Blackie, Lynn, and Lisa, I am so sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. She was so wonderful to Rosemary and myself, and all the neighborhood kids--driving us everywhere, allowing us to always play and meet at your house. Whenever I visit my folks and go to St. Edwards with my Mom, I always would seek your mother out if she was there to thank her for all her kindness in our "wonder years". God bless you all in this difficult time of sadness. Sincerely, Morgan Von Rueden
