Helen Chapple Obituary
Helen Chapple, 80, died peacefully on January 26, 2016 at her residence in Bellevue, Washington.
Helen was born on August 7, 1935 in Ironwood, Michigan, the daughter of Grace (Dwyer) Carlston and Harold Schroeder. Helen moved to Ashland, Wisconsin as a young girl and met her future husband, John Chapple, while they were both attending Ashland High School.
She is survived by a brother, Harold Schroeder; her five children, John H. Chapple, Jeanne A. Chapple, Joseph M. Chapple, Paul C. Chapple and Clare H. Chapple. She is also survived by six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Flintoft's Funeral Home, 540 Sunset Way, Issaquah, Washington on Saturday, February 6 at 11:00 am, followed by a reception for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the John D. and Helen C. Chapple Endowed Scholarship Fund, Clarkson University, c/o Amanda Hitterman, Director of Donor Relations, 8 Clarkson Avenue, Box 5515, Potsdam, NY 13699 (315) 268-7709, or to the National Parkinson Foundation.
