Howard Rider Obituary
Howard Drake Rider Jr. was born on October 23, 1951 and passed away on November 12th, 2012 after battling cancer.
Howard graduated from Highline High School and Western Washington University. He enjoyed life, family and close friends. His experiences brought him to the top of mountains, jumping out of planes, diving off the Washington Coast or cruising through the San Juan Islands.
Howard leaves his wife, Catherine Jean, sons Jonathan Howard (Amy) and Thomas Matthew (Kimberley), Grandkids Bailey and Brandan.
Howard will be missed for his warm smile and willingness to help others. He spent over 30 years as a contractor remodeling churches, schools, office buildings and restaurants. He had a passion for his work and built a long list of customers and friends.
Service will be held on Saturday, November 17th at Immaculate Conception Church at 11:30 AM. 820 18th Ave Seattle, Washington 98122. Reception immediately following at Archdiocese of Seattle's Chancery Building, Isaac Orr Conference Room, 910 Marion Street Seattle, WA 98104.
Any donations will go to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

I think I may have only met Howard once, at a party at your house, but I remember talking to him about his sons Jon and Tom, and how proud he was of each of them. I know he and you, Cathy, have made our son Erik welcome at your house for years, and through him I know what a special person Howard was. Don and I send our heartfelt condolences.

Cathy, Just came to sit awhile with you, cry with you, and remember the man that thought you were the best thing to come into his life. Remember that alhtough the road is rough now, Howard is leading the way for you.
