Jack Dierdorff Obituary

Jack L. DIERDORFF Jack was born in Wolf Point, Montana on August 24, 1918. He was raised in Surrey, North Dakota. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1940. When Pearl Harbor was bombed, Jack enlisted in the Army, and shipped out on the Queen Mary. In 1945, he met Wanda McCrillis, a cadet nurse, and they married on Easter Sunday, April 1, 1945, also April fool's day, but their marriage was no joke, lasting 64 years. Jack began his career at the Metropolitan Building Corp. and worked there until 1953, leaving to help form what became Unico Properties. He proudly served as the International President of BOMA from 1977-1979. He retired from Unico as Executive Vice President in 1983, and then helped form Sekotac Investments. He retired (again) at age 74; 50 years in commercial real estate and leadership positions in civic organizations. Jack's core values were to treat all people the same and to tell it like it is. He is survived by his wife Wanda; his children Jack Jr (Nancy), Dan (Laurel), Michael (Linda), and Lisa (Darren); and his grandchildren Ryan (Jolene), Kelly, Rita, Tyler, Dan, Flora and Kai. He was preceded in death by a grandson David and a granddaughter Jennifer. A family celebration of life will occur at a later date. Remembrances may be sent to the 101 Club Foundation, Evergreen Hospice, or Minot State University. Please sign the online guest book and read more about Jack's story at: www.ASacredMoment.com

With a smile on my face, I picture Jack
and Dick (my husband) saying "hello
again" and rehashing old memories. I
look forward to happy Dierdorff/Kluzek
memories in the hereafter that Jack,
Wanda, Dick and myself had in the past.

Jack was a good man, true friend and a very strong role model for all that he came in contact with. He will be missed.

Jack was a dear friend of my dad's, Dave Fitzgerald. They went to college together at Minot State, played football together there, and stayed friends over the years in Seattle. I last saw Jack at dad's funeral reception last December. It was so good of him to attend and share his sentiments that day. Jack was a loyal friend. He will be missed! Please accept my condolences. - Angela (Fitzgerald) Davila

Jack was well liked, a true friend, had a great career and was a regular guy. He will be missed by his fellow members in the 101 Club. We send our sincere condolences to Wanda, Dan, Laurel and the rest of the family.

When I first met Jack we both were involved in property management. He with commercial real estate in downtown Seattle and I with the Federal Government in the Pacific Northwest. Jack was the most likable fellow I ever met. After I left the Government Service I joined commercial Real Estate Management in Seattle. Jack always had an open hand for those working in this field. I joined Seattle BOMA and was one of the first to receive the prestigious Property Management award. Jack and I talked about this since he was on the International Board. He now probably is guiding Property Management activities for the entire universe. May we meet again. Jack may you now rest in peace. God Bless you.
