Jane Shulkin

Jane SHULKIN Of Mercer Island, passed away August 29, 2006 at the age of 72. She was born March 18, 1934 in Portland, OR to Anne and Arthur Israel. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1956 with a BA and a special focus in Commercial Art. She married her husband, Jerome Shulkin, an attorney, in 1956. She was a member and past Sisterhood President of Temple De Hirsch Sinai and a loyal supporter of City of Hope. She was a fine portrait artist and cook who will also be remembered as a caring and loving wife, mother, and friend. A beautiful butterfly that flew into our world and sadly left us all too soon. She is survived by her husband, Jerome; daughter, Shellie Shulkin of Seattle; sister, Barbara Bonime of Scottsdale, AZ; niece, Marcia Sky-Deane of Chicago, IL; nephews, Gary Sky of Denver, CO, Cory Bonime, and Brett Bonime of Scottsdale, AZ. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., September 1, 2006 at Butterworth-Arthur A. Wright Chapel 520 West Raye St. (206) 282-5500.
