June J. ALLEN June 14, 1918 ~ Dec. 10, 2007 Of Poulsbo, WA. June was born in Seattle, WA to Joe and Jennie (Wickstrom) Jensen on June 14, 1918. She died in Bremerton, WA on Dec. 10, 2007 after a very short illness. She was 89 years old. June graduated from Ballard High School in 1937 and married Edward Allen on Feb. 20, 1943, in Seattle, WA. They had been married almost 60 years when Eddie died in 2002. June was an accomplished artist, an avid gardener, and an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed making handcrafted gifts of all kinds for her family and friends. At various times in her life she was involved in a Children's Orthopedic Guild, the Swedish Club of Seattle, and with the Ballard High School Alumni group. June lived in West Seattle for 55 years before moving to Poulsbo two years ago to be closer to family. She is survived by her sister, Nadine Kvinsland of Poulsbo, Nieces: Kristen (Von) Morley, Poulsbo, Karol (Dan) Hovde, Aberdeen, Scotland, Karen (Gregg) Jones, Anchorage, Alaska, Judy (Don) Ault, Edgemont, Arkansas, Mara Linn Etchey, Quilicine, WA. Nephews: Ron Kvinsland, Poulsbo, Kevin (Candace) Kvinsland, Poulsbo, Tom Jensen, Oak Harbor,WA, Bruce Jensen, Seattle, WA, Brad (Mary Jo) Jensen, Port Townsand, WA and their families. At June's request there will be no services. Remembrances may be made to Children's Medical Center, PO Box 50020, Seattle, WA 98145, or a charity of your choice.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I felt very honored when June & Eddie came to visit me in Oregon in 1987. We had a great time. I feel very blessed to have had both of them in my family.
