Kim Warren-Snell Obituary

Kim Leanne

Warren-Snell

We lost our beloved Kim on November 7, 2018 to breast cancer. Now Kim is safe in her Savior's arms.

Kim Leanne Warren was the first baby born in Miller, South Dakota on January 1, 1962 to Lowell and Patricia Warren. At the age of 18 months Kim and her family moved to Washington. Kim graduated from Ingraham High School in Seattle in 1979 and then earned a double B.S. degree from Washington State University in 1983. She later earned her R.N. Certification from Seattle University. Kim then enthusiastically embraced her role as a pediatric oncology nurse. Caring for and giving to others was a significant theme in her life. She enhanced the lives of many children by granting their wishes through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and serving as the Camp Nurse at Camp Goodtimes for kids with cancer.

Kim was pre-deceased by her grandparents Fred and Myrtle Warren and Leland Taylor. Kim leaves her husband David C. Snell and their kids Jake, Madeline and Alexandra Snell. She is also survived by her parents Lowell and Patricia Warren; sisters Kelly Warren, Kathryn (Brad) Evered, and KrisAnne Warren; and nieces Taylor and Madison Russell and nephew Cade Evered, her grandmother Miriam Taylor and many aunts, uncles, and cousins and friends.

Kim inspired all of us, and a Celebration of Kim will be held December 1, 2018 at Brooklake Community Church, 629 South 356th St, Federal Way, Wa 98003 at 4:00 P.M. Please Join us!

So saddened to hear of Kim's passing so long after. We enjoyed many days outside with our crazy bird dogs and inside making cards and stamping. She had such a giving heart and will truly be missed by all who knew her. Grateful to know she is in heaven with Jack by her side.

The best thing about Kim was her dazzling smile. Whether we were at the hospital awaiting radiation or romping at the dog park, Kims smile represented her joy in life. I have taken a passage from Joyce Meyers book The Secret to Happiness that is meaningful when I think of Kimmie. When you are gone, what will matter is not how many people you knew but how many will feel a lasting loss when youre gone. What will matter is not your memories but the memories that live on in those who loved you. What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom, and for what. Bless you, my beautiful sweet friend for choosing to live a life that mattered to so many of us. You are loved immeasurably, missed soooo deeply, and will never be forgotten!!!! Give ol Jack a big kiss from me❤
