Maxine Dorman Obituary
Maxine Louise Dorman, 90, passed away peacefully in Seattle, Washington on July 7, 2016. Maxine was born in Tacoma, Washington to Harry and Olga Fulton. She graduated from Stadium High School and married Eugene Dorman in 1944. She spent her life on Queen Anne Hill where she raised her family and was known as "Grammy" to many beloved neighbors and friends, Maxine enjoyed making others happy with phone calls and cookies, cheering for the Mariners as a life-long fan and season ticket holder, and spending time with family at her cabin on Vashon Island. She is survived by daughter Sue Lorack and husband Larry; son Larry Dorman and wife Diane; and daughter Nancy Dorman; grandson Chris Dorman and wife Alissa; granddaughter Jennifer Sehlin and husband Sean; granddaughter Julie Manley and husband Jared; and great-grandchildren Cole Dorman, Hallie Sehlin, Blake Sehlin, Reese Manley and Quinn Manley. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene and her brother Don Fulton. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 12th, 2pm at First Free Methodist Church; 3200 3rd Ave West, Seattle. Memorial donations may be made in Maxine's name to Foss Home, 13023 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle WA, 98133 or Union Gospel Mission.

Maxine's daughter Nancy was my tailor for years until I moved to
Bellingham in 2008.
My favorite memory of Maxine is her literally beating the bushes
around their lovely QA home, looking for a shoe I had dropped
when carrying my alterations out of their house to my car.
She was ON IT ! And she later did find my shoe !
Nancy and I and Maxine had quite a laugh -and I had lots of appreciation - about that story. Maxine was warm, gracious
and genuine.

Happy, gracious, a "real lady" As the past owners of YES! The Mailroom Joe and I were so glad to have known her this past quarter of a century. The arrival of Maxine & Nancy for the ballgame was always a highlight for our day. Her daughters show what a great mother she was too.

I had the pleasure of meeting Maxine at Safeco Park this year with her daughter Nancy. I was always so excited to work their isle. Maxine's love for the ball game was infectious. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family.
