Phyliss M. PUMP Phyliss Pump was born in Yakima on June 30, 1924. She went home to be with the Lord July 21, 2010. Phyliss grew up in Ellensburg, the daughter of Grace Isabell Dillon and Oliver Dillon. She served her country during WWII in the U.S. Navy stationed at North Island, San Diego. She also worked during war time as a 'Rosie the Riveter' at Boeing helping to build the B-17 Bomber. Phyliss loved Jesus, and was a faithful member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Seatac. Phyliss was an avid reader, and in her school days was an Honor Society member. She loved her country and was very patriotic. She enjoyed ferry rides on Puget Sound, and took delight in escorting tourists whom she met on the Metro bus around Seattle. Phyliss is survived by her four daughters: Suzie Earls (Richard) of Oak Harbor, Maryann Pump of Des Moines, Carol Diaz (Ramon G.) of San Francisco, CA and Sherry Brookheart (Brian) of Olney, IL; her brother, Wallace Dillon of Ellensburg and her sister Jacquelin Kosoff of Branson West, MO; grandson Michael, and two great-grandchildren Alexis and Jacquez.
