William Weissinger Obituary

William Roy WEISSINGER He was born October 16, 1920 at Pace, Mississippi, the son of Katherine Terrell English and Roy Leslie Weissinger. He graduated from Benoit High School in 1939. After enlisted in the Navy, he served as a Medical Corpsman in World War II in the Pacific campaign. Following an honorable discharge in 1945, he attended and graduated from Mississippi State with a Master Degree. He taught at Southeastern University in Durant, Oklahoma. He later moved to Seattle, Washington where he was affiliated with the United States Postal Service. His parents and a brother, Guy Lenoir Weissinger preceded him in death. He died April 20, 2003 at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. He is survived by an aunt, Anna Laura Conn of Benoit and several cousins, Jane Conn Hovas, Greenville; Blythe Core English, Lake Wales, FL.; William Thomas English, Tucson, Arizona; Charles Weissinger, Cary, Mississippi. Burial was in the Washington Memorial Park at SeaTac, Washington.
