Sara Kingsolver Obituary

Sara Pearl Simpson Kingsolver, 79, of Shelbyville, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Hosparus In-Patient Care Center in Louisville.
Most recently she had been employed as the office manager for Woodlawn Pest Control. She also had formerly worked for C&H Parts and CarQuest. She was a member of the Olive Branch United Methodist Church. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf at Henry County Country Club, where she was a member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Kingsolver; and her brothers, Samuel W. Simpson, Johnnie Simpson, and Roy Tate Simpson.
She is survived by her sons, Lanny Kingsolver, Bobby 'B.D.' Kingsolver, and Todd Kingsolver, all of Shelbyville; her stepson, Richard Lee Kingsolver (Tina) of Shelby County; and her sister, Ada Ellis of Fairdale.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus or the Shelby County Backpack Program.
Shannon Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
