Peacefully passed away on March 7th surrounded by his loving wife of 63 years, Anna and his beloved family. Ozzie was born in Filletole, Italy in 1923 to Odoacre and Alfea Bartoli.
He leaves behind his daughters Julie Nabhan - Jerry, Cathy Hickel, grandchildren Jeffery Nabhan, Nicholas Nabhan - Heather, Christy Hickel -finacee Jamie Lee and Thomas Hickel, Great Grandchildren Gianna and Carter Nabhan, sister-in-law Nandina Bartoli- predeceased brother Renzo and many nieces, nephews and cousins here and in Italy.
Ozzie arrived in the United States in November of 1937. He was very proud to become a United States citizen and to have served the in United States Army as an Aviation Engineer for 2 plus years.
He was the co-owner for many years of the South San Francisco Scavenger Company, a company started by his father-in-law, Angelo Guslani in 1914.
Ozzie served as an usher at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church, was a former member of the San Mateo Elks, SIR, and Sons of Italy.
He loved to fish, bowl, play cards, and cook as well as create "Ozzie Masterpieces" with his wood building skills. But the one thing he most truly enjoyed doing was spending time with his family and as he put it "live happily ever after".
