Florence Ryan Connolly

Florence Ryan Connolly passed away on February 18, 2017 in Fairfield, California. She was the widow of Joseph P. Connolly, to whom she was married for 62 years. She leaves behind her children Kathleen Perkins (Michael) of Austin, Texas, Karen Hannigan (Tom) of Fairfield, California, and Joseph Connolly of Independence, Oregon; grandchildren David and Christopher Perkins, Cole Connolly, Elisa Pighini and Amy Wright; great-grandchildren Derek Wright, Grace and Liam Perkins and Rex and Jack Perkins. She also leaves behind her sister, Ynez Boiteux, nephew Anthony Boiteux and niece Jeanette Boiteux, her sister-in-law Virginia Connolly as well as Sheila Rose to whom she called her "third daughter."
Florence, a native San Franciscan, was born to James M. Ryan and Ynez M. Clifford on April 14, 1934. She attended St. Rose Academy and Dominican College in San Rafael. Florence enjoyed her summers at Summer Home Park on the Russian River visiting with family and friends. Florence was a long-time member of St. David of Wales Catholic Church and also a member of West Contra Costa Serra Club. Her beautiful presence and optimistic spirit will be greatly missed.
