George Bennett
03/30/1949 - 07/16/2024
George Bennett, a resident of Fairfax, CA for 16 years, passed away on July 16, after a 2 year battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
George was born in Kewanee, Illinois, and grew up in State College Pennsylvania. He moved west in 1967 to attend UC Berkeley, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in architecture. He remained in the Bay Area to work as a self-employed builder and contractor until he retired in 2010.
He spent the next 10 years traveling extensively in the US, and to 17 countries in Europe, Mexico, South and Central America, and S.E. Asia with his wife Jenny.
He is survived by his wife Jenny, sister Elaine, brother George, son Eric, and granddaughters Lilia and Cora.
Memorial service on August 30, at Adobe Creek Funeral Home 331, Lakeville Street, Petaluma, 94952.

George Bennett was a fantastic person. He built our first beautiful home in the Berkeley hills and was our next door neighbor for 10+ years. He was smart, patient, creative, and dependable, among many nice qualities. The world is a better place because of his visit here.
