Howie passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born in San Francisco and attended St. James School. He retired from DiSalvo Trucking.
His favorite pastime was handball. He played throughout his life at the SF South End Rowing Club and the San Mateo Elks. His joys included playing and watching handball with his sons and making fun of almost everybody else. He was a national handball champ and was inducted into the Handball Hall of Fame in 1986.
Howie was loved and survived by his wife Pat, beloved sister Barbara Stavrio-Taylor, daughter Noreen Argenal, sons; Howard Jr., Billy and wife Mary, David and Mila, beloved grandchildren; Anya Montoya, Gus Argenal and wife Hannah, Justin Argenal and wife Suzanne, and Haley Wyrsch. He was the proud Great Grandfather to Bo and Ace Argenal.

Pat & Family,
So sorry to hear about Howie's passing. I shared a lot of laughs with you and Howie years ago, and yes, I do believe I was one of those that he made fun of. He was truly one of a kind. So glad he got to spend time with his grandchildren. God Bless You.
