JAMES PATTISON Obituary

James Wallace Pattison Sr.
Rio Verde, AZ and Truckee, CA
Passed away suddenly on October 3, 2012. Born July 20, 1933 to Frank and Marion Pattison of Weymouth, MA. Jim grew up in Weymouth along with his brother Donald and many friends and relatives, including his cherished cousin Bev.
Jim was very proud to have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Having his father as his Scout Master made the honor even more rewarding. Jim graduated from Weymouth High School in 1951 and went on to graduate with a BS in Economics from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. After graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps, beginning his lifelong commitment to the Marines. Jim retired as Lieutenant Colonel and never lost his love and passion for the Corps and the men with whom he served.
Loving husband and best friend to Lynette Pattison for thirty-five years. Jim was an amazing and loving father to his children: Cheryl (Todd), Ellen (Richard), James Jr., Sally, and Michael (Noeleen), sons and daughters of Marie Pattison Divanian, and James and Michael (Carolyn) Salyer, Lynette's two sons.
He was a devoted Poppy to his grandchildren, Olivia, Andrew, Sauvanne, Sophia, Marycora, Britney, and Austin. His grandchildren will always love him dearly.
Jim had many favorite activities, including golfing, fishing, skiing and sailing. His passion for sports and the outdoors kept him in excellent health. He also enjoyed food, wine and gardening. He shared all these joys with his many friends.
Services will be held at St. Bartholomew Church in San Mateo, CA at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 12, 2012; a luncheon reception to follow.
