David Vogt Obituary
David Vogt, 85, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. David was born August 3, 1932 in Sheboygan to Otto and Lillian (Johnston) Vogt. David was a graduate of North High School class of 1951. Following High School he joined and proudly served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955.
David worked for KW Muth for 35 years and retired in 1993.
David was known as being kind and considerate to other people. When amused, he had a deep and hearty laugh. In his spare time, David always enjoyed traveling around Wisconsin. Once retired, he also spent time roller-skating and always enjoyed board games, bingo, playing cards, and putting together puzzles. While a resident at Hometown Retirement, David was active in their weekly Bible studies.
He is survived by his brother Robert Vogt of Sheboygan, sisters Shirley Lesczykowski of Crossville, TN and Marion Graumann of Sheboygan Falls, he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law Daniel Lesczykowski and sister-in-law Hildegarde Vogt.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave. Kohler, with Pastor Jim Hollister officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Hometown Retirement for the excellent care and support they gave to David the past eight years.
