Charles Chapman Obituary
Charles Chapman, 66, of Lincolnton, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
Born in Cleveland County on Sept. 27, 1948, he was a son of the late Dennis Belo Chapman and Pearl Geneva Hull Chapman. He was employed with Geymont Construction and was a member of Fairbrook Baptist Church in Startown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Grady Chapman, Donald Chapman, Lloyd Chapman, Ira Chapman, Gerald Chapman and James Chapman.
Mr. Chapman is survived by his wife of forty five years, Victory Geraldine Queen Chapman; two daughters, Vickie Carpenter of Lincolnton and Marie Ross and husband, Jamie of Conover; five grandchildren, Angela Carpenter, Austin Carpenter, Madison Ham, Colby Ross and Chelsey Ross; one great granddaughter, Gracie Warren; four brothers, Evoid Chapman, Claude Chapman, Junior Chapman and Carroll Chapman; and six sisters, Vangie Grigg, Madeline Dellinger, Marlene Chapman, Ruth Whisnant, Selma Moore and Patsy Perry.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 at Stamey Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stamey Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel with Pastors Rick Davis and Dale Mellon officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Fairbrook Baptist Church, 2278 19th Ave. SE Hickory, NC 28602 or to Trinty Baptist Church' 1365 Old Mountain Rd. Statesville, NC 28677.
