George Dupont Obituary
DOYLINE, LA - George Dupont (age 56) left this life Sunday morning, July 5th, 2009, of a sudden illness. George was surrounded by family and friends enjoying camping and the lake and celebrating July 4th. Today we celebrate the life of a wonderful husband, father, PapPaw, brother, uncle and friend. George loved his life being close to his family and friends, his work, hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. H. L. Kendrick, Jr. Burial will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Centuries.
Mr. Dupont was born in Shreveport on April 24, 1953 and has lived in this area all of his life. He was the President of Alpha Railroad and Piling Co. Mr. Dupont was a member of Grawood Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Emma Lee Dupont and brother, Howard Dupont.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of thirty-eight years, Anita Dupont; daughter Angela Brooke Reeves and husband Jimmy; sister, Barbara Jilg; brothers, Jerry Dupont, Bruce Dupont and wife Irma and Willis "Bubba" Dupont and wife Mary; two granddaughters, Chelsea Dupont and Summer Reeves.
Pallbearers will be Fred Jilg, Chad Woodall, Jimmy Reeves, Jamie Wallingsford, B.J. Aultman and Dusty Louis.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to St Jude's Childrens Hospital. Centuries Memorial

Anita, I am so sorry to hear of George..I've been taking care of George's hair for the past several years and what a character he was...I always got a smile on my face when i would see his name on my books, wondering what we were going to cut up about that day, he would make me laugh so hard and yet give me fatherly advise every now and then. Anita, you and Chelsey are in my prayers.
