Glenna Carroll Obituary
Shreveport, LA- Glenna Lea (Dotson) Carroll died in Christus Schumpert Grace Home, June 7, 2012 at the age of 75. She was born in Shreveport, LA on May 9, 1937 to Demarius Dotson, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bert Carroll; daughter, Michelle Waggoner and her husband Britt; grandson, Lloyd Waggoner and brother, Harry Dotson.
Glenna was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. She was a military wife for 20 years and was always by her husband's side.
Glenna enjoyed collecting and making babydolls. She could always be found working in her yard.
She worked in many retail stores to include serving as manager of the Shreveport Hickory Farms Franchise.
Chapel services will be held at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 2PM. Officiating will be Rev. Conrad Edwards of the Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 5-7 PM on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Centuries.
The family would like to thank all the staff of the Christus Schumpert Cancer Center for the outstanding care Glenna received during her 10 year battle with Cancer.
In lieu of flowers the family would like any memorials to be sent to the American Cancer Society, 920 Pierremont Rd., Suite 300, Shreveport, LA 71106.

Dear Mr. Carroll--as I type this message, my heart is broken!! I am so sorry for your loss. I met Ms. Glenna years ago at my place of employment. She was my customer , but soon became my friend. She holds a special place in my heart and always will! I know that heaven's gates swung wide open to welcome this beautiful lady!! I miss my sweet friend already, but am so happy that she is now pain free and in the arms of Jesus! My prayers are with you and Shelley and her family.

Dear Bert and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. We can take comfort in knowing that she is not hurting anymore. The world has truly lost a gifted person. She had the most gifted hands I know. She could make anything grow. She could make a babydoll look like a real baby. She brought Raggedy Ann to life. She took the ordinary and made it extraordinary in everything she touched. Thats the kind of lady shreveport has lost. She will be missed tremendously. She loved her husband and family more than anything.
