Anthony DeMario, 71
Proud business owner, 'above all, he was a family man'
Anthony DeMario, 71, of Tottenville passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born Friday, November 21, 1947 in Brooklyn, N.Y., Anthony was the son of the late Ferdinando and Grace DeMario. He was the beloved husband of Marie DeMario nee Leone. Marie and Anthony were married for 50 wonderful years.
He was the proud owner of NY Invasion Inc. a clothing manufacturing business he opened in 1990. Anthony truly enjoyed what he did and looked forward to going to work everyday.
In his spare time, Anthony enjoyed spending time working around the house and taking care of his garden. He was a sports fan enthusiast who liked to watch Hockey and Baseball. He also enjoyed going out to eat and doing things with his family.
Above all, he was a family man who loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He was their biggest fan and always made sure he attended their sporting events and milestone moments.
Surviving are his loving wife, Marie; his son, Ricky DeMario and his wife, Angela; his daughter, Jaymie Sisti and her husband, Robert; his five grandchildren, Anthony, Ricky Jr. DeMario, Vanessa Marie, Jiannarose and Robert Sisti; his siblings, Jerry DeMario and Jeannie Miller, and also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, located at 6135 Amboy Rd., Staten Island, N.Y. 10309. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, N.Y.
