VINCENT MARINI Obituary
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, 'Poppy'
Vincent Marini died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018.
Born in Brooklyn, he came to Staten Island in the early 1960s. He was a computer engineer with Sperry Univac, and retired from U.S. Customs.
He enjoyed many summer trips at the Jersey Shore. He was married to his love, Joan, for 58 years.
He was a member of American Legion Watkins-Kellett Post 277, VFW Post No. 5521, and Korean War Veterans Cpl. Kivlehan Chapter. He was also a combat veteran of the Korean War from 1952 to 1954, with the 40th Infantry Division.
Visitation hours will be Thursday, Jan. 25, from 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, Jan. 26, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Casey McCallum Rice.

Vinny or Sonny as we always knew him, was our cousin. We grew up with Sonny, Rita, Marie and Johnny and of course, Aunt Rose and Uncle Patsy. Sonny visited us every summer and stayed for two weeks during which we played and enjoyed being kids! We remember him lovingly. Pray he is at peace. With love, Mary Ann, Mickey and Jeannette.
