VERSAILLES — Dale LeRoy Monnin, age 65, of Versailles, passed away at 12:40 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.
Dale was born July 4, 1952, in Piqua to the late LeRoy and Bernice (Peltier) Monnin. In addition to his parents, Dale was also preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Drees; and brothers, Anthony "Tony" and Leslie "Les" Monnin.
Dale is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Clinton L. and Julie Monnin, of Crawfordville, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Angela R. and Kyle Wildermuth, of Anna; grandchildren, Abraham, Gabriel and Cayle Wildermuth and Melissa Watts; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Mary Monnin, of Russia, and Wayne and Dana Monnin, of Tipp City; sister and brother-in-law, June and Dave Walter, of Wapakoneta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dale retired from Clopay in Russia in 2011. He formerly worked at Monnin Body Shop in Russia and Miller Meteor in Piqua. Dale was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia and the Versailles Eagles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia with the Rev. Martin Fox celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Remy Cemetery in Russia.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
