Robin Schmidt Lane, age 59, of Lyons, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at her home.
Robin was the daughter of Robert and Audrey Schmidt of Hartley, Iowa. She was born on October 17, 1964. She graduated from Hartley High School and went to Western Iowa Tech Community College for training as a surgical technician. She worked various jobs. She worked the past 22 years as a devoted 911 dispatcher.
Robin married the love of her life, Walker Lane, on May 18, 2018. They resided on an acreage outside of Lyons.
She is survived by her husband, Walker and his family; brother, Jay and his two children, Karsyn and Paxton of Aurora, CO; parents, Robert and Audrey Schmidt of Hartley, IA; other relatives and friends.
Robin's life was riddled with health issues that she bravely conquered. Her heart issue was one she could not overcome. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She had a huge heart full of love for others. She was always willing to help others any way she could.
Private Family Services will be held.
