Angela Hites Obituary

DALLAS - Angela Hites passed away on July 7, 2010, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Angela was an amazing and loyal daughter, sister, friend and coworker who was admired and loved by everyone she encountered.

She was a member of the Texas Bar Association and an associate litigator at Patton Boggs, LLP in Dallas since September 2007. She was very dedicated and had passion for her career as a lawyer.

Angela was a 2000 graduate of Hillsboro High School, a 2004 graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and a 2007 graduate of Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas. Angela is a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.

Angela is survived by her parents, Nancy and Kent Hites of Hillsboro; sister, Amanda Hites (fiance Sean Priewe) of Chicago; special friend, Patrick Towne of Dallas, Texas; uncle, Steve Hites of Vandalia; and aunt and uncle, Kellie and Bill Clouse of Mahomet.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 17th at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 103 North Main Street in Hillsboro. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m.

Memorials can be made in Angela's memory to the American Cancer Society.

Angela was my partner on the Northwestern Cheerleading team for years, and more than that, she was always a close, wonderful friend. I'm so sorry to have only learned of her passing now, and I can't express how devastated I am to hear it. She was a uniquely delightful person who set herself a cut above her peers. Angela and her family lived close to us in Bedford, TX and our two sons played with Angela and her sister, Amanda up until the time they moved in 1986. We all have fond memories of the four years the kids spent playing together. Angela accomplished so much in such a short space of time. I can tell from the posts that Angela was a true angel, dearly beloved and a friend to all. She will be greatly missed.

Angela hired me to walk her sweet dog Kylee. Angela's parents were there for the new client meeting and I could tell this was a special family. It was so obvious that they were very close and the family full of love. I had few times to actually interact with Angela but the times that I did, my initial impression that Angela a sweet person was confirmed. My prayers go out to her family, friends and all the lives that Angela touched.

Angela was such a sweet person and left positive memories wherever she went. I only interacted with her a few times at Patton Boggs, but she was 100% an all-star. I was sitting next to her when she received the news that she passed the bar exam - it was such a happy moment. The news of her passing is heart wrenching.
