Venus JACKSON Obituary

Venus Marie Jackson

SPRINGFIELD, IL -Venus Marie Jackson, 55, departed this life on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 2, 1958, in Chicago Heights, Ill., the daughter of Frenchie and Robert Williams Sr. She was a member of Union Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Opra Knox, Freddie Coleman, Lawrence Williams, Levi Williams, Lloyd Williams, Larry Williams and Robert Williams Jr.; and sisters, Vernita Sanchez and Robin Williams.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Fred (Charlena) Jackson; daughter, Jocelyn Jackson (Darrien Whitsey); one grandchild; sister, Vanessa Cooper; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Union Baptist Church, 1405 E. Monroe St., Springfield, IL 62703. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. Service starts at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are entrusted to Walker Funeral Services.
